Oye Kake North Indian Cuisine Restaurant in Mumbai

In Mumbai? If you’re searching for a pure vegetarian meal in a restaurant specializing in North Indian cuisine, Oye Kake is the place to go.

They have locations around the city, and recently they have opened their outlets in SoBo.

If you’re looking for some comfort food, head to Oye Kake in Kamala Mills. Amritsari vegetarian cuisine at its best. The menu offers a wide range of selections, including North Indian dishes, street food, dessert, and beverages.

Recently visited the Oye Kake Kamala Mill outlet for lunch. It’s a popular destination to grab lunch from and it is difficult to get a table.

The ambience was great with polite staff.

Each nook is beautifully kept, and the one-of-a-kind design is eye-catching. It’s also the best place in town to have Amritsari cuisine.

We ordered the following from the menu:

Spoiler Alert: Portion sizes are quite less for the prices.

Oye Kake Restaurant North Indian Cuisine in Mumbai

Hara Bhara Kabab (INR 329): The kababs are coin-sized and offered in 6 pieces. To begin with, they are more of a quick nibble than a starter. They come with a side salad and the famed kabab chutney. They were delicious, but the quantity size was a letdown.

Paneer Makhani Masaledar (INR 419) + Chur Chur Naan (INR165): With a dash of tomato tanginess, the Paneer Makhani Masaledar was rich in gravy. Someone who enjoys not too sweet with tangy and spicy gravy would enjoy this option. The paneer was soft and the gravy complemented it well.

Chur Chur Naan was the winner because it was perfectly cooked, not too chewy, and had perfectly crisp sides.

Kake Di Cutting Lassi (INR 295): Went with the reviews online and ordered the famous Oye Kake Di Cutting Lassi. It is served in small cutting-chai glasses. They provide six tastes and give you the option of adding a sixth flavor to your lassi. We went for the seasonal special Mango (which I’m pleased I did). Kesar, Chocolate, Carmel, Dry fruit, and Classic Plain Lassi were the other flavors. They were, however, a letdown. The lassi was lukewarm, which is the polar opposite of what a lassi should be, and the tastes were all the same except for the toppings. Mango was the only flavor I loved.

Jalebi Rabdi (INR 235): Jalebi and Rabdi is a nice option to try here; the Jalebi were hot and crispy, and the combination with Rabdi to give you the ideal finale to your dessert cravings; however, I would have preferred if the Rabdi had been a little colder; otherwise, it was delicious.

Overall, Oye Kake is a must-try if you’re seeking a North Indian Cuisine restaurant in Mumbai because of its unique tastes and twist. A lovely spot for lunch with coworkers or a cozy family dinner gathering.
